I used to hate using compression fittings on coax till a job last month in Chicago changed my mind

A senior guy showed me how a 3/8 inch fitting saves 15 minutes per drop and now I'm ordering a case of them tomorrow, anyone else have a tool or part they swore off till someone proved them wrong?

The 3/8 compression fittings are a total game changer on commercial jobs where every minute adds up. I swore off coax compression completely after a bad batch from a cheap supplier, but a good quality fitting with the right tool makes all the difference. Once you dial in the prep and the depth stop, you'll never go back to crimp connectors.

Yeah I had the same thing with RG6 compression fittings actually. Was using those cheap no name ones from Amazon and swore em off completely. Then a foreman handed me a bag of the PPC EX Series and showed me how you gotta trim the jacket back just right so the center conductor doesnt stick out too far. Now I wont touch anything else on commercial drops.
