My Milwaukee drill gave out halfway through a crawl space job yesterday
The chuck just locked up solid, and I had to finish the last 15 terminations with a cheap backup driver. Anyone have a better brand that can handle the dust and tight spots?

Ever try a brushless Makita? Mine's been through years of attic dust and still runs smooth when it gets packed in there. The smaller size helps a lot in tight spots too.

I've seen a couple of those brushless Makitas choke on dust in vents I've worked on. @robert275 might have a point about sticking with what works. I'm not convinced one brand is really that much better than another when you're dealing with serious buildup.
