My old boss in Phoenix swore by using a 7/16 wrench for everything, even coax fittings
He said it was faster and the slight wear didn't matter. I did it for a year until a fitting spun on me during a final test at a big apartment complex, costing me an extra hour to re-run the line. Now I keep my hex driver handy for every fitting. Anyone else have a tool shortcut that backfired?

That's why I never skip the torque wrench step.

Yeah, carter.jennifer is right. I learned that the hard way when a caliper bolt came loose. Just takes one time to make you never forget it again.
