New apartment complex had me scratching my head over their telecom room setup
Honestly, I did a walkthrough at that new complex off 85th and Aurora yesterday, and their main telecom room was a total mess. Every cable was just coiled on the floor with no labels, and the CAT6 runs were mixed with old coax from some previous build. Ngl, took me 45 minutes just to figure out which bundle went to unit 304. Has anyone else seen builders skip basic cable management in new builds like that?

Isn't the real issue that these builders are probably using the cheapest low voltage contractor they could find rather than someone who actually knows structured cabling? A lot of developers treat the telecom room like a utility closet instead of the network hub it actually is, so they don't budget for proper installs. Bet you anything the wiring was an afterthought in the original blueprints too.

That 304 unit took me back to my old apartment where the cable guy spent an hour tracing lines through a closet full of tangled Christmas lights and old phone cords. It's like builders treat these rooms as an afterthought, when in reality they're the backbone of the whole building. Makes you wonder if they think just because the walls are fresh, the wiring can be sloppy.
