Picked up a trick from a lineman yesterday - zip tie spacing matters more than I thought

He said every 12 inches on vertical runs, 18 on horizontal. Fixed my sagging cat6 problem in a second. Anyone else got spacing rules they swear by?

Wait, you're saying tighter spacing actually works better? I always winged it before...

Yeah, "always winged it" is exactly what I used to do too. I actually read a blog post from some gardener who tested different spacing for tomatoes and found tighter spacing gave better support and more fruit. Makes sense if you think about how plants lean on each other.
