Question about the old way of pulling cable through insulation
For years, I'd just shove the fish tape straight through the pink stuff in an attic, no second thought. Then about six months ago, I was helping a new guy on a job in Tempe and he pulled out this little plastic tube thing, a 'glide path' he called it. He slid it in first, then fed the cable through it. Took maybe an extra minute, but we pulled three lines without a single snag or tear. I must have wasted hours over the years fighting friction and ripped vapor barriers. Anyone else have a simple tool that changed a basic task for them?

Oh man, I was totally wrong about glide paths until I read this. Here's the link for you, @stella627.
