Shoutout to the veteran on the Fort Worth job who told me to always charge for the drop ceiling crawl
Was running coax in a 1970s office building off Camp Bowie last month and the old head working the job next to mine watched me eyeball a drop ceiling run and just shook his head. He said the ones who eat that time for free are the same ones complaining there is no money in this trade, and honestly it stuck with me for days. Half of me says you build goodwill and the repeat calls come later, but half of me says goodwill does not pay my truck note. So where do you all draw the line on the extra stuff that is technically part of the run but doubles your time? Curious if the vets here bill it or just build it into the quote up front.
