That crawlspace in Phoenix that made me switch to knee pads

I was doing a new install in Phoenix last August and the crawlspace was maybe 18 inches high. I spent 4 hours on my knees running coax and by the end my knees were bruised and bloody. A buddy of mine told me about these gel knee pads he uses for tile work so I grabbed a pair. Has anyone else found a good solution for those tight spaces or am I just getting old?

Taping a set of those cheap foam kneeling pads from the garden section together is actually a game changer. They're way softer than anything hardware stores sell and you can cut them to fit right inside your tool bag. Just swap them out when they get gross instead of buying another set of overpriced knee pads.

Gotta disagree with @hunt.jana, those garden pads slide all over the place and collect dirt like crazy.
