Took me 6 hours to fix a drop amp problem that was just a bad ground
I was out on a service call in Bloomington last Tuesday, customer said their internet kept dropping every time the furnace kicked on. I checked the line, checked the modem, swapped a splitter, even reterminated the coax twice. After about six hours I finally looked at where the ground block was tied to the copper water pipe, and the clamp was loose as a goose. A $3 clamp and five minutes later it was solid. Anyone else ever chase a signal issue that turned out to be something stupid simple like that?

Read somewhere that 90% of bad signal calls are grounding or connectors.
