Why did that doctor care about my drop line?
Last month I was running a new RG6 line through a crawl space in a medical office building near Columbus, and one of the physicians came down to ask what I was doing. He said he used to install ham radio antennas as a kid and wanted to know why I was using compression fittings instead of the old crimp style. I explained that compression holds up better in damp spaces, and he smiled and told me every job has its own hidden standards you can't see from the outside. Have any other installers had customers who knew more about the trade than you expected?
