Salt water from a boat tour just ruined a client's mirrorless camera
A photographer handed me a camera covered in salt spray after a sea voyage. Now I'm scrubbing crusty residue from every circuit and joint, which is a total mess. Any tips for getting salt out without wrecking the delicate parts?

Watched my buddy spend a whole weekend on a similar mess. He used a soft toothbrush dipped in a mix of distilled water and white vinegar, lightly brushing every nook. He’d dry each part immediately with a can of air, paying special attention to the shutter button and the dials. The camera actually powered up afterwards, though the lens mount was never quite the same.

Have you tried distilled water, since I used to avoid it but a tech changed my mind?

Yeah but @stellat87, distilled water is kinda overkill unless you have specific issues with your tap water. Most cars do just fine with the regular stuff.
