That time I stripped a screw hole with a cheap plastic jig

I've been fixing up old polaroids for like 10 years and always just used whatever random plastic jig I had for aligning shutter blades. Last month I was working on a 600 model and the whole thing slipped, gouged out the brass plate underneath. Took me 2 hours to realize the jig was flexing under pressure because it was too thin. Switched to a metal alignment tool I bought for $12 and it worked perfect first try. Anyone else ever blame themselves when it was really the tool?

@wren307 exactly right, I stripped three before realizing my cheap jig was the problem.
