Three hours to find a bent pin in a 40-year-old Nikon F2

Spent an entire Saturday chasing a shutter issue that turned out to be a single bent terminal pin inside the mirror box. The factory manual didn't mention it, and I only caught it after comparing the wiring against a photo from a forum guy in Ohio. Has anyone else had a gremlin like that hide in plain sight for hours?
