Vent: Spotted a mint condition Nikon F3 at a flea market in Asheville, but the guy wanted $400 for it.

The mirror was locked up and the advance lever was totally stuck, so it's definitely a project. Anyone know a good source for F3 mirror box parts that won't cost more than the camera?

Check eBay for parts cameras, that's usually the cheapest route. I grabbed a busted F3 last year just for the mirror box. You can also try the "Nikon F3" Facebook group, people sell parts there all the time. Honestly, with a locked mirror and stuck advance, $400 is way too high for a project that big.

Yeah but @hollym12, a locked mirror can sometimes just be old grease. I've seen way worse get fixed.
