Figured out why my tent always felt damp after 8 years of camping

Been camping since college and always woke up with that clammy feeling. Turns out I was zipping the rainfly all the way closed every night, trapping all my breath and sweat inside. Last trip to Shenandoah, a guy in the next site pointed out the vents and left his fly half open. Has anyone else done this dumb mistake for way too long?

Vents matter, but condensation happens even with them open sometimes.
