My neighbor saw my bear bag hanging 30 feet up and asked why I hate my food
He hangs his 8 feet off the ground and 4 feet from the trunk, which is basically a drive-thru for a hungry bear in the Sierra. I switched to the full 12 foot height and 6 foot hang after a ranger at Mammoth Lakes showed me claw marks on a tree at eye level. How high are you all hanging yours, or have you just gone full canister?
