Found a trick to stop my sleeping pad from sliding around on the tent floor

My pad kept sliding all over the place on my tent floor, especially on sloped ground. Tried putting a rug under it, that didn't help. Then I sprayed the bottom of the pad with a little water from my bottle before laying it down. Worked like a charm last weekend at Red River Gorge. Has anyone else tried something weird like that?

Tried the water trick a while back and it works but wears off once it dries. What really fixed it for me was spraying a little bit of that grippy shelf liner stuff you get at the dollar store onto the bottom of my pad. Let it tack up for a minute before laying it down. Stays put all night even on a slanted site.
