My old camp stove gave up the ghost on a cold night in the Adirondacks

Honestly, it was about two weeks ago, and I was trying to boil water for coffee. The pump on my trusty old Coleman just would not hold pressure anymore, no matter how many times I primed it. I had to use my backup canister stove, which felt weird after years with the white gas one. Has anyone else had a classic piece of gear finally die on them, and what did you replace it with?

Man, that's a tough one. Losing a piece of gear you've had forever feels like losing a friend. Did you even try to fix the pump, or was it just totally done for? I'm always torn between trying to save the old stuff and just getting something new.

Tried to fix it for a whole weekend. Took the thing apart three times. There's a special kind of sadness when you know it's truly dead. You can't even find the parts anymore. Felt like a funeral throwing it in the bin. What was the last piece of gear you had to give up on?
