Switched from a canister stove to an alcohol stove for my solo trips and man, the quiet alone sold me
Did 3 nights in Shenandoah last month with my old canister setup and got so tired of that jet engine roar at 6am. Brought a $20 Trangia on the next trip and boiling 2 cups took about 7 minutes instead of 3, but I could actually hear the birds and my coffee tasted the same. Anyone else make this switch, or am I just chasing peace and quiet over speed?
