Switched from a heavy coleman to a hammock setup after watching a thru-hiker video

I was dead set on keeping my big 6-person tent, but I saw this YouTube video from a guy who did the whole PCT with just a hammock and tarp. He showed how it only weighed 2.5 pounds total, and that convinced me to try it out on my last trip to the Smokies. Anyone else make the switch and regret losing the privacy?

What privacy are you losing when nobody's watching you sleep in the woods?

And honestly, I found that nobody was watching anyway, so the "privacy" thing was all in my head. After switching to a hammock, I actually ended up sleeping better because I wasn't tossing and turning on the hard ground. Plus, setting up camp took half the time, which left me more room for exploring the trails.
