That October trip in the Adirondacks when my $30 garage sale tent outshined my buddy's $400 one
Back in October we camped near Lake Placid and it poured for two straight days, and my old Coleman from a garage sale in 2011 stayed bone dry while my buddy's fancy tent leaked right on his sleeping bag. I paid $30 for that thing and he dropped $400, which still makes me laugh when I think about it. Does anyone else have cheap gear that just refuses to quit on you?
