The thing people get wrong about camp stove fuel efficiency

I keep seeing reviews online where people complain about a stove burning through fuel too fast. But almost nobody accounts for wind. Last month I tested my MSR WhisperLite against a buddy's cheap stove on a calm day at Lake Tahoe. Both ran about the same time on a full canister. Then we tried again with a 10 mph breeze and his stove died in half the time because he didn't have a proper windscreen. A lot of those bad reviews are just bad setup. Has anyone else noticed this or am I the only one paying attention to test conditions?
