Update: Thought I could fix my sleeping pad leak in ten minutes. It took three days.

Found a slow leak in my old Therm-a-Rest after a trip to the Gila Wilderness. Figured it was a simple patch job. Spent an hour finding the leak with soapy water. Patched it, waited overnight, and it was still soft by morning. Had to re-submerge the whole thing and found two more tiny holes. Finally held air after the third try and a whole new patch kit. Anyone else have a simple repair turn into a multi-day project?

Oh man, that's the classic pad repair experience right there. It's never just the one leak, it's like the pad gets jealous of the attention and decides to sprout a few more. You finally get it to hold air and you're just sitting there staring at it, waiting for it to betray you again. Honestly, at that point I'd be half-tempted to just wrap the whole thing in duct tape and call it a new model.

Ugh, that's the worst! It always starts with one little bubble and then you find the whole pad is basically a sieve.
