Vent: I used to throw all my gear in a duffel bag and call it good

Last trip I spent 20 minutes digging for my headlamp at 2am in the rain near Lake Tahoe. Now I use those little zippered mesh pouches from the dollar store for each category. Anyone else have a cheap fix that saved your sanity?

Tossed mine into a clear plastic shoe box so I can see everything at once.

My buddy does the same with his tackle box for fishing lures, he swears by it for keeping everything sorted. Funny how a simple clear box changed his whole setup and he stopped losing tiny hooks in the bottom of his bag. Do you find it's easier to grab what you need on the fly now?

See everything at once" is exactly why I switched too. @casey943 you're right about the tackle box thing, I actually use a clear divided tackle box for my craft supplies now and it's a lifesaver. Nothing worse than digging around a dark bag for twenty minutes.
