Watching a friend struggle with a cheap tent in a downpour near Bend made me rethink my whole gear philosophy.

My old Leatherman Wave has been on my belt for 15 years and bailed me out of more jams than I can count.

My 2008 Gerber still opens every package.

My dad had a Gerber from the 90s that he swore by, but he lost it in a lake trying to open a bag of chips on a boat. Still brings that story up every time we see a Gerber.
