Blew $3K on a coworking space subscription I barely used
Signed up for WeWork in Toronto last January. Thought it would force me to network and stay focused. Ended up going maybe twice a month. The rest of the time I was just working from home anyway. After six months I cancelled and got nothing out of it except a lighter wallet. Anyone else fall for the hype and waste money on a fancy office?

My neighbor did the same thing with a fancy gym membership in 2019. She signed up for that Equinox place downtown, all excited about the classes and the steam room. Ended up paying over a hundred bucks a month just to walk past it on her way to the bus. She finally cancelled after a year and told me she could have bought a nice treadmill for what she spent.

Wait, did you ever try subletting your desk on those days you weren't going? I remember reading that some coworking spaces let you do that, and it could have recouped some of that cash. I think a lot of people just don't realize you can treat it like a hotel room and book it only when you actually need it lol. Might be worth checking your contract to see if that was an option you missed.
