Bootstrapped vs. VC funding for my SaaS tool - picked wrong?
I spent 6 months building a simple inventory tool for local shops in Toronto and had to choose between bootstrapping or taking $50k from a micro-VC. I went with the VC money but now I'm stuck on their monthly growth targets instead of just improving the product. Anyone else regret taking early funding for their Canadian startup?

Monthly growth targets" just turn good builders into stressed out spreadsheet jockeys, don't they?

Remember reading that Stripe study where they found teams with hard monthly targets actually shipped 30% slower because they kept stopping to recalculate metrics. @viola_cooper62 it's like the spreadsheet becomes the product instead of the thing you're supposed to be building. For smaller teams especially, I'd rather just track one or two big numbers quarterly and let people actually code instead of turning every Friday into a forecasting meeting.
