Got a grant rejection letter and it made me rework my whole pricing model

Back in March I applied for the Digital Main Street grant through my local chamber in Halifax. Got the rejection email last week, but buried in it was a breakdown of what they look for in financials. That made me realize my startup's pricing was way too low to show any real growth potential. I spent a weekend reworking my packages and raised my rates by 30% starting June 1st. Has anyone else used a rejection letter as a free consulting tool before?
