Got ghosted by a VC after 3 months of talks at a Toronto coffee shop

I was pitching my startup at Pilot Coffee on Bloor when the investor literally stood up mid-sentence and walked out. Has anyone else had a funding meeting just fall apart like that mid-conversation?

Used to think those blow-ups were always the founder's fault but damn, hearing this makes me realize VCs can just be unprofessional jerks too. Three months of talks gone in seconds for no real reason is brutal. That says way more about them than your idea.

Hold up, Pilot is on Queen West not Bloor. But anyway, yeah that's a wild story. I had a VC do something similar at a Starbucks near Yonge and Eglinton - got up to "take a call" and just never came back. Three months of emails and prep gone in like 15 seconds. It's messed up how some of these guys treat founders like they're nothing.
