Hitting 100K MRR in Winnipeg felt like a glitch, not a win

We crossed 100K in monthly recurring revenue two weeks ago. When I started this company in 2016 out of my basement on Osborne, I figured maybe 10K MRR was realistic in five years. We're a small B2B software shop, 4 people, no VC money. The number surprised me because it took 7 years and then suddenly it happened in one quarter. All these local meetups I used to go to talked about scaling to Toronto or raising seed rounds. We just kept fixing one customer's invoice problem at a time. Now I look at our bank statements and still think it's a typo. Did anyone else hit a milestone that felt like it came out of nowhere, or was it a slow grind that just added up?

Read a piece saying most SaaS startups hit their targets in one sudden burst, not a steady climb.
