Our demo crashed in front of an investor, then we got the cheque anyway

Last Thursday we pitched to a VC in Toronto and the app froze right on the main dashboard. I swear I watched the colour leave my cofounder's face. Instead of panicking, I just pulled out my laptop, showed the codebase repair we did the night before, and explained why the crash happened. The investor laughed and said, 'That's more honest than any demo I've seen.' We got a $250k term sheet yesterday. Has anyone else had a failure turn into a win like that?
