Pitching to a VC in a coffee shop and the wifi died mid-demo
So I'm at this cafe on Queen St West in Toronto, about to show a VC from a local fund the live prototype of my startup app. Right as I hit 'present', the whole cafe network goes down... and I hadn't saved any screenshots. I ended up pulling out my phone and walking him through the mobile view over 4G while the barista yelled 'sorry folks, router just fried!' He actually loved the hustle and invested $25k a week later. Anybody else have a pitch go sideways in a weird way?

Old buddy of mine pitched a whole deck to an angel investor in a bar bathroom because that was the only quiet spot during a fire alarm. Investor still wrote a cheque, probably just to escape the smell.

Holy crap, did the investor actually read the deck or was it more of a "I'm giving you money so we can both get out of here" situation? @the_henry, I gotta ask what kind of product could survive that pitch environment.
