Pro tip: using a local college's business library saved my startup $400

I was drowning in market research costs for my Vancouver-based food delivery app, paying like $50 a pop for industry reports. Then I walked into UBC's business library on a whim and the librarian Karen showed me they have free access to IBISWorld and Statista through their public terminals. For a small consulting fee of a coffee and a muffin, she walked me through pulling down all the data I needed for free. Has anyone else tapped into university resources like this, or am I just late to the party?

Oh man, I used to think paying for that stuff was just the cost of doing business but this totally changed my mind. I'm gonna hit up the SFU library this week and see if I can get the same deal.

Wait, you mean all those late nights digging through Google Scholar for "free" articles were just for fun? I always thought the library access was like a mythical unicorn no one actually uses after graduation. Guess I've been the dummy the whole time. You're telling me I could've saved $50 just by walking a few blocks? Sign me up for that reality check.
