Took the cheaper CRM over the fancy one, 3 months later no regrets
We were debating between two CRMs back in June for our little Halifax SaaS. One was like $80 a seat with all the automations, the other was $12 a seat but way more manual. I picked the cheap one because we only had 4 people and honestly I'm glad we did. The fancy one would've been overkill. We just use a simple pipeline view and a shared spreadsheet for follow-ups. Has anyone else gone cheap on a tool and it worked out longer than expected?

Did you find yourself building a lot of your own workflows in the spreadsheet to make up for the missing automation? That's the part that usually bites people. We did the same thing with our cheap tool and ended up making a bunch of custom formulas and color coding for stages. It took a weekend to set up but now it runs exactly how we want, and we're not paying for a bunch of features we'd probably never touch anyway.
