Tried running a FB ad for my Toronto SaaS and got zero clicks for 3 days straight
I put $200 behind a simple ad for my project management tool aimed at small construction firms in the GTA. After 72 hours it had 14 impressions and literally zero link clicks, which felt like a total waste. I think my audience targeting was way too narrow or maybe the creative just sucked. Has anyone else had a FB ad bomb like that here in Canada and figured out what to fix?

That $200 hit the algorithm dead. Seen this pattern everywhere not just online. Same thing happens when you open a new storefront on a side street with zero foot traffic hoping people just wander in. Facebook needs data to work with you gave it nothing to learn from. 14 impressions means it showed your ad to maybe 5 people total. Way too narrow targeting and no retargeting setup is like handing out flyers in an empty parking lot. Gotta give the machine room to breathe then narrow down from what sticks.

Oh man, so you're saying the real mistake was not giving the algorithm enough data to figure out who to target in the first place? That makes me wonder how much you need to spend just to get that initial learning phase done right without burning cash. What's your rule of thumb for that first chunk of money before you start tweaking things?
