Dropped my insurance rate 22% by moving the car to a storage unit, and I thought that trick was a myth
I always assumed a locked garage didn't matter to insurers since a driveway sits on the same property, but the agent in Grand Rapids pulled up the rate sheet and showed me a big drop for off-street, locked storage. Six months of paying $85 a month for the unit still comes out ahead of what I was paying before. Did anyone else get quoted a real discount, or was mine just a pushy agent?
