Spent $65 on a car shipping broker deposit and it actually paid off
I shipped my Corolla from Phoenix to Portland back in March and almost went with the cheapest quote I found online. Instead I paid a $65 deposit to a broker that had real reviews with photos of the trucks. The cheap quote ghosted me two days before pickup, but the broker had a hauler at my door on the date we agreed. The car showed up with a small scratch on the rear bumper and the broker helped me file a claim with the carrier's insurance, got $280 back for the repair. Has anyone else used a broker with an upfront deposit, or do you all book directly with the carrier?
