Almost walked out of a job interview when they said "we work hard and play hard," but the offer was actually solid
I had an interview at a mid-size insurance office in Columbus back in April and the hiring manager kept saying stuff like that, which usually means 60 hour weeks for salary pay. I almost turned down the second interview but my wife pushed me to go. Turns out their idea of hard work was just normal busy season stuff and the pay was $8k more than my old job with real overtime. Anybody else get saved from a bad call by going to round two anyway?
