My resume went from 0 callbacks in 5 months to 3 interviews in 2 weeks, and the fix was one line
I sent out about 60 applications from January to May last year and got zero calls back. A recruiter friend in Denver looked at my resume and said my job duties were all written like a job description instead of results. So I rewrote each bullet to start with a number, like 'cut ticket backlog by 40%' instead of 'responsible for tickets.' That was the only change I made, and within 2 weeks I had 3 interviews lined up. Has anyone else had a tiny tweak make that big a difference?
That "responsible for tickets" vs "cut ticket backlog by 40%" switch is REAL, my brother talked me into doing the same thing and my callback rate basically doubled overnight. Numbers just make people actually stop and read the bullet instead of skimming past it.
