Overheard a hiring manager say she skips resumes with too many buzzwords
She claimed terms like 'synergy' and 'deep dive' make her doubt actual experience, but isn't that just how you show you know the industry - do buzzwords help or hurt your chances in 2024?

Totally agree, I once had a recruiter tell me my resume was too buzzwordy and it felt like a total waste of time.

Figured my resume was so polished it practically squeaked... guess I was just "leveraging my synergies" a little too hard. Recruiters must get a kick out of seeing how many corporate buzzwords they can spot in five seconds flat. Next time I'll just write it in crayon and call it "authentic.
