Rant: my old boss at the print shop in Toledo gave me advice 6 months late and it still stung
Ran into Dale at a hardware store in Toledo last month, first time since I quit the print shop in 2022. He asked how the new job was going, and when I said fine, he goes "you know, you were always waiting for someone to hand you the next step, you never just asked for it." Hated hearing it because he was dead on, I sat at that press for 3 years waiting for a promotion that never came. So I finally asked my current supervisor for the lead spot on the night crew last week, and she said yes in about 10 seconds. Has anyone else had an old coworker hand them a truth bomb in a parking lot?
