That career coach who said 'just follow your passion' made me roll my eyes so hard
I overheard some young guy at a coffee shop in Portland last week giving his friend advice about leaving a stable plumbing gig to become a yoga instructor because 'you gotta do what you love.' Man, I've been running my own crew for 12 years and my passion is paying my mortgage on time. Chasing that dream left him $8,000 in debt and he's back turning wrenches 3 months later. Has anyone else seen this blind following dreams thing backfire on people you know?
