Unpopular opinion: cover letters are actually your secret weapon, or at least they were for me
After 14 useless applications in Portland, I rewrote my cover letter to tell a story about my botched project deadline instead of listing skills, and I got 3 callbacks within a week, so what's the real trick to making them work for everyone else?
