A client in Denver told me my 1/8 inch reveal on cabinet doors was 'visually heavy' and to try 3/32 inch instead, which I thought was nitpicking until I saw the finished install.

Now I use that smaller gap on every frameless job, but does anyone think the extra time for that precision is actually worth it for the average homeowner?

My Denver client's 3/32 reveal made me a believer too.

One client liking a 3/32 reveal doesn't prove it's a good standard. That's just one person's taste. I've seen it cause way more problems than it solves with dust and cleaning. Most homeowners I talk to hate how thin it looks once it's actually installed. It's a trend that looks clean in a showroom but fails in real houses.
