Bought a used track saw instead of a new one, mid-reno gamble
Had to pick between a new corded plunge saw for $650 or a used cordless one for $400 from a guy in Tacoma last Tuesday, and I went with the used one because my whole kitchen cabinet build hinges on not dragging extension cords through sawdust. The battery was old and it stalled twice on the first sheet of plywood, but after swapping in a fresh 5Ah pack it's been smooth on 20+ cuts so far. Anybody else taken a chance on worn-out power tools and actually made it work out, or did I just get lucky this time?
