Pocket hole placement on face frames was backwards for 5 years

I finally figured out I was drilling my pocket holes on the inside of face frame stiles instead of the outside. A customer flipped a cabinet door over last Tuesday and asked why the screws were visible through the opening. I had been doing it that way since my first kitchen build in 2017, nobody ever said a word. Now I check every piece against the door swing before I touch the jig. Has anyone else had a habit that just went unnoticed for years until one random client caught it?
