Still pick my old Craftsman table saw over the new SawStop I tried
Tbh I worked with a SawStop for about 3 months on a job in Austin and ended up going back to my 1997 Craftsman. The safety feature is nice and all, but the fence on the Craftsman holds zero better after 25 years and it cost me 50 bucks at a garage sale. Anyone else stick with an older saw because it just feels right even with the newer options?

1997 Craftsman for 50 bucks, @reese_lane29? That's crazy, I didn't know they were still going that cheap. I paid 120 for mine at an estate sale in 2015 and thought I stole it. The fence on mine, the T-square style, it still locks up dead square without any shimming. I've honestly never used a newer saw where the fence felt that solid right out of the box.

Garage sale Craftsman for 50 bucks beats $2,000 SawStop any day. Fences don't wander when you haven't spent half your paycheck on them.
