Swapped my old Stanley chisels for a set of Narex and I get it now
I had been using those basic Stanley chisels from the hardware store for about 4 years. Finally grabbed a set of Narex chisels from Lee Valley for $80. The difference in holding an edge is NIGHT and day. I can actually pare end grain without fighting it. Has anyone else made a similar swap and noticed how much easier detailed work gets?

Honestly I don't get the hype. I've got old Stanleys that I sharpened once and they work fine for me. Maybe it's more about technique than the chisel itself.

Nah man try a Lie-Nielsen and tell me technique matters more.
