A client's comment about my seam lines made me switch up my glue method

I finished a big job in a Phoenix living room last month, and the homeowner pointed out a faint ridge along one of my seams after a few days. He said, 'It feels like a speed bump when I walk over it barefoot.' I've always used a standard trowel for my seam adhesive, but that feedback stuck with me. I switched to a 1/8 inch V-notch trowel for my last three jobs to apply a thinner, more even layer. It takes a bit more care, but the seams are laying down perfectly flat now. Has anyone else had a client call out something specific that made you change a small part of your routine?

Sounds like you're overthinking a one-off complaint.

My cousin Sarah runs a small bakery. She got a single bad review about cookie texture last month. It kept her up for three nights straight, reworking her whole recipe. Sometimes that one piece of feedback just hits a nerve and sticks with you, even if it's not a common issue. I get why someone would fixate on it.
