Was power stretching a 40 yard hall job last month and a guy named Rich who has been laying carpet for 26 years watched me kick the whole thing in with my knee. He flat out told me my seams were going to peek within a year because I was stretching in short bursts instead of using a power stretcher with a proper tail. I switched to the stretcher on every job bigger than a closet after that and my seams have stayed tight. Curious if you guys still kick in small rooms or if the stretcher comes out no matter what.
